An educational fair was organized in Rarahil Memorial School, Kirtipur-11 in October 24, 2009 with the spectacular participation of students from grade 1 to 5 of the school in some more than 40 installs all over the school ground and two of the three grand buildings of the school. The fair, organized after preparation of more than a month, was a grand success. All the teachers, parents of the students, alumni and different other personalities related to the school were invited in the programme.'The fair was just fabulous', says Akash Maharjan, an alumnus of the institution. 'The fair displayed the talents within the students and the way they get those talents. All those ideas of installs, the way students described them and the hospitality they showed were just mind-blowing. I simply enjoyed the fair'.
3D map of Nepal, 3D models of Kirtipur hill, Mount Everest were among the attractions of the fair. Hand made story books written by the students of class 1 showed the creativity hidden inside the students. Different spectacular shapes created by cutting number of folds of papers, geo-board, 2 dimensional geometrical shapes (like ellipse, hyperbola, etc) made by string stuck on nailed wooden boards and different three dimensional geometric shapes made by papers were attractions of geometry. The classrooms were decorated by palm paintings made by students, family photos of students and also spectacular collage arts. Different game installs were also among the main attraction of the fair like 'number guessing game', 'match the word with picture', 'name the body parts', and multitudes of other interesting educational games. But the main attraction of the fair was the 3D model of the school building and compound. Every detail of the school compound was put into the model. The fair was started at 11:00 am and was ended at 2:00 pm.
