Kirtipur is a hub of students from around the country for attaining education at Tribhuvan University, Nepal’s first university. This has induced the native people of Kirtipur to develop their keenness towards the level and quality of education prevalent in the country and make efforts to inquire for the best possible educational institute for the higher education.
To meet this expectation of students and parents, KVS has been organizing Education Expo and Counseling for SLC appeared students since 2062.
Since the Expo was organized in Kirtipur, it was made easier for the locals as they would not have to go outlying educational fairs or to individual colleges to get the educational information.
KVS has been donating the surplus amount to various educational institutes in form of books and has established a ‘‘Kirtipur Volunteer Society Scholarship Fund’’ through which a deserving student of Kirtipur who has passed his SLC from here and is continuing his/ her higher education in Kirtipur itself is granted the scholarship.
Kirtipur Volunteering Society (KVS) being a non-profit organization, has managed to conduct the Expo successfully for ten long years. This year’s expo is said to the most successful among all, with more than 1000 visitors and many participant colleges, organizations and sponsors.
