The erection of a long wooden Log (Yo: Shin) pole in Hanumandhoka Durbar Square on September 25, 2015 marked the beginning of Indra Jatra festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. Indra Jatra is the eight day festival with a chariot procession dedicated to Goddess Kumari, Lord Ganesh and Bhairav, as well as worshiping Indra, the king of gods.
