Considerable lot of us probably began our journey to the never ceasing runaway of education from this very day, Saraswati Puja. Some may have joined schools since this day, some may have scribbled their first "A" or "Ka" on the paper while some might have spelled their name the first time. On this day, people indulge in worshiping Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and education. Educational institutions organise Saraswati pujas in their premises and students, teachers, guardians and the like pay homage to the goddess.

Aside from Saraswati Puja, this day is additionally called Basanta Panchami. It is believed that from this day onwards, the nature bids farewell to the  freezing winter days of Mangsir and Poush, and welcomes the warm, radiant days of Autumn.

Goddess Saraswati being the guru of education, this day calls for being an auspicious occasion for students and learners. One may halt indulging in schools or universities or any other forms of formal education but  learning shall never cease for sure. With every passing second, life is teaching us new patterns, new ways, new methods like never before and we being the devotees of Saraswati, shall be learning from each of them.

May goddess Saraswati bless us all !!!
