E-mail Print PDF

Tau daha is known as a home for a Karkotak Nag one of the Serpent Kings in the valley. On the Day of Nag Panchami, devotees gather at Tau daha to worship Serpent King.

On the same occasion, people pasted pictures of snakes on the entrance of the house.

Due to the lunar eclipse, Janai Purnima was also shifted to Nag Panchami. Although it raised some confusion and controversy people from Bhramin and Chettri community changed their sacred thread "Janai" yesterday. People also tied colorful 'Dora' around the wrist of right hand.
