Nepalese devotees paid homage towards goddess of knowledge, Saraswati during Basanta Panchami or Shree Panchami festival.

During the occasion devotees wake up early in the morning, bath and worship Goddess Saraswati.


This day is considered as auspicious  to start education of children.  Parents take their children to Saraswati temples to read and write their first words. Here are few photographs of the day.
